Hancock Hosts Annual Fine Arts Student Art Show

APRIL 15, 2022 -- The talent and creativity of students enrolled in the fine arts program at Allan Hancock College is currently on display as part of the college’s annual fine arts student art exhibition.
The show features a wide variety of student artwork, displayed at the Ann Foxworthy Gallery on Hancock’s Santa Maria campus through May 12. This exhibition will mark the participating student’s first art show since returning to in-person classes in the fall of 2021.
The exhibition features paintings, drawings, graphic design, sculpture, photography, and digital media in representational and abstract forms. This year’s show will also include monologues and "pop-up" performances.
“The works that this talented and unique group of students created are engaging and delightful,” said Ann Foxworthy Gallery Director Laura-Susan Thomas. “They are expressing themselves in some incredible and creative ways in this exhibition.”
The gallery will host a reception featuring the show’s student-artists, which will also include a special performance by students in Hancock’s drama program, on April 21 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The live performance by college drama students will begin at 5:10 p.m. Students, staff, and members of the community are invited to attend.
The Ann Foxworthy Gallery is located in the Academic Resource Center, building L, on the Santa Maria campus. The gallery is open Monday - Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and is closed and available by appointment only on Fridays. The gallery is closed on weekends and holidays.
